Savage Ritual Demo at Hambrook Chapter

On Tuesday 3rd February 2026, Hambrook Chapter No. 8909 held its regular meeting at the Chipping Sodbury Masonic Hall. As part of the meeting, a Provincial team, under the direction and guidance of the 3rd Provincial Grand Principal, Excellent Companion Thomas Morrison, gave a demonstration of the Savage Club ritual exaltation to the well attended Chapter. The 1st Principal of the Chapter, Excellent Companion Mike Niles, requested Excellent Companion Charles Perkins, the 2nd Provincial Grand Principal, to occupy the office of 1st Principal for the purposes of the presentation, who in turn then called upon the eight other members of the demonstration team to take office. Hambrook Chapter’s most recent exaltee kindly acted as the candidate for the evening. After the 2nd Provincial Grand Principal had given a brief explanation of the background of the Savage Club ritual, there then followed a most enjoyable undertaking of the Savage Club working, including the mystical lecture and the long closing. After the meeting had closed, the evening was completed by a very congenial festive board.

This was the seventh time that the demonstration team have presented the Savage Club ritual to Chapters in the Province of Gloucestershire and Herefordshire and further dates are planned for the future.
